After Thanksgiving we will do a few more activities based around the Declaration of Independence and the Revolutionary War. We’ll also be starting Revolutionary War novel groups after Thanksgiving. Due dates will vary by groups, so be sure to remind your student to check Edmodo to ensure he/she is staying on top of the work. Each week students will have assigned chapters to read from their novels and will complete this sheet for those assigned chapters.
Winter MAP testing will be starting soon! 5th grade will be taking the reading MAP test Friday, December 6, at 1:10pm. 5th grade will be taking the math MAP test Thursday, December 12, at 9:10 am. If you’re able to schedule absences around these times, that would be greatly appreciated.
If your student is looking for some math challenges over Thanksgiving break, Greg Tang has put together some activities and resources for them to check out. You can access them here!
We started electronic Late Assignment Warnings (LAWs) this week. Students have been instructed on how to access and fill out this form for any assignments not complete on time. This replaces the paper version you may have seen earlier in the year.
I hope you all have a wonderful Thanksgiving week and holiday!!
