Students with numbers 11-20 have their eighth Vlog on SeeSaw due Friday, January 24th. Students with numbers 1-10 have their eighth reading response on Google Classroom due on Friday, January 24th.
We’re continuing to work on our Revolutionary War novels. Students have had some time in class to get started on their assignments; anything not finished in class should be completed at home by the due date. Due dates and assignments can be found inside students’ folders or here. Due dates will vary by groups, so be sure to remind your student to check Edmodo to ensure he/she is staying on top of the work. In addition to their assigned chapters, students will fill out this sheet each week.
As part of our nonfiction reading unit, we will be reading the book Freedom Walkers as a class. This book by Russell Freedman tells of the Montgomery Bus Boycott and events surrounding the Civil Right Movement. We’ll be talking about some heavy topics throughout the reading of this book. If you have any questions or concerns about the content, please don’t hesitate to reach out to me at any time.
Please remember to sign and return your student’s Friday folder each week. Papers in the pockets of the Friday folder can be left at home. MAP reports and assigned conference times were sent home in this week’s Friday folder. Please let me know as soon as possible if you are unable to attend your assigned conference time.
As a reminder, there is NO SCHOOL on Monday, Jan 20th, Martin Luther King Jr. Day.
Thursday, January 23rd will follow a Monday schedule here at school.
